About this app
Kodi® media center is an award-winning free and open source cross-platform software media player and entertainment hub for digital media for HTPCs (Home theater PCs). It uses a 10-foot user interface designed to be a media player for the living-room, using a remote control as the primary input device. Its graphical user interface (GUI) allows the user to easily browse and view videos, photos, podcasts, and music from a harddrive, optical disc, local network, and the internet using only a few buttons. IMPORTANT: The official Kodi version does not contain any content what so ever. This means that you should provide your own content from a local or remote storage location, DVD, Blu-Ray or any other media carrier that you own. Additionally Kodi allows you to install third-party plugins that may provide access to content that is freely available on the official content provider website. Any other means of watching illegal content which would otherwise be paid for is not endorsed or approved by Team Kodi. Estuary is the new standard skin and is designed to be fast and user friendly. With the skin Estouchy, Kodi has now been enhanced to better work with larger 5" or up phones and tablets. Kodi is not designed or recommended for use with smaller phones. there's a variety of excellent builds available to suit any viewing preference, and when paired with a trakt acct and a debrid service.... NOTHING compares! Whether on the air or on the big screen, you CAN watch anything... better and way cheaper than any streaming SVC (under 17.0 USD for 6 mo of real debrid,and trakt is free) There are add-ons to view free PPV, but the better ones require a low fee, and for PPV ,You will also need a good VPN service, like Cyberghost. With this setup I've been cable free 4 yrs! David S neg review is unfounded. Kodi is a BASE app meant for modifying. Google search makes it easy for 1st timers. And there IS a setting to fix his issue..... Builds are for beginners. The things you can do with/to Kodi ...

Without this app, my experience on my projector would be mediocre. This is the only app that allows me to move the videos (with black bars) to the lower end of the screen. When watching on a 184 inch screen, I don't end up hurting my neck, but I can now look straight. NO OTHER PLAYER ALLOWS THIS!! And then you have all the best features of a video player. So Thank You Kodi! Just one thing. I see the options to zoom in, but it doesn't work. Would be an icing on the cake if you could fix it.

there's no reason why Kodi has such a low rating. I have a feeling some people don't know what they're doing and blame the app on their own misunderstanding. Kodi is a media player, a complete media player that's not made for phones(my opinion) but rather devices with large screens like TV'S. Kodi will even scrape your library, organize,and display your digital library, either it be videos music or pictures. I do have the occasional problems of Kodi not scraping my movies at all or getting the wrong metadata. Playback works fine, so that's a plus. Kodi is the Swiss army knife of media players
