Download this free official New Zealand government app and use it to request your NZeTA and pay the IVL. Using the app is the fastest way to request an NZeTA and should take you less than 5 minutes. You can use the app to scan your passport to upload your details and scan your credit or debit card for ease of payment. You can request and pay for up to 10 NZeTAs in one transaction for your family or group. What are the NZeTA & IVL? The NZeTA is a border security measure introduced by the New Zealand Government on 1 October 2019. This app is very easy to use, and costs far less than "service" does out there that charge a big fee. The most difficult part was taking the passport photo, it took me several tries. Make sure there is no glare, I used a dark plain background, and line the bar up over the name and numbers at the bottom of the page. Don't worry about where your passport photo is, it doesn't matter. Nice app, easy to use, I'll enjoy New Zealand, thanks!

If you NEED the proper documentation for travel to New Zealand and you need it IMMEDIATELY, this app has the situation under control. Almost midnight at LAX, and I was supposed to be boarding my flight to Auckland when I found out I lacked the required approval from my destination. I downloaded the app, followed the directions, paid with a USA debit card, and was approved for travel in under 15 minutes. So fast, so simple, THANK YOU SO MUCH NZeTA

Didnt run into any major issues when using this app. It scanned my passport without any issue once I lined up the bottom bar of the passport as shown in the app. The photo taker was a little hard to use by myself because it needed to be so far away from my face to get the shot right. But, it does tell you what you need to change to line up the photo correctly. Once I submitted the application, the approval process took less that 2 minutes.
