Essentially this is a great app to text with. Leaps and bounds better than what the device came with. But...the auto correct is truly controlled by Satan. Despite typing a word correctly and selecting it from the choices, occasionally the app will show it's dark side and select an word close to what you wanted. This evil selection will occur after you hit send. UPDATE: STILL THE WORST AUTO CORRECT ON THE PLANET!! Ok...it's 9 years later and FINALLY they got everything right! Still love this app.

I've been using Textra for many years. Once I found it, that was it for me. no other apps will do. My favorite feature is scheduling texts. it's been a lifesaver. Muting and blocking certain recipients can be done with ease. I also like being able to see the previews for links in the message. With every app updates, it gets even better.

I have a new Samsung droid. The Google and brand messenger apps are so bland and difficult to distinguish texts from one entry to another. I have tried everything out there on Google play. Textra is by far the very best there is. The flexible configurations of colors leaves no chance for confusion. Listing the no. of people on the string, choices of attachments, transmission confirmation, fonts, in other words, everything. This app is so comfortable to use. It has it all.
