Played through the freebies after reading a webpage on the basics of how clues worked but still stumped by the broadsheet newspapers. Enjoyed it so much I bought the full version. I don't usually buy apps but this has been well worth the money. Stumped occasionally, but never for too long, and I've always got a few on the go to switch between if I am. Update: Having just switched phones, the addition of a backup/restore feature is most welcome. Very pleased not to have lost all my progress!

Great game, well worth the Money. I love that I can play without data draining intrusive adverts. I'm using it to learn cryptic crosswords, and the progression is steady but evident. Excellently written, and there are minimal general knowledge tabloid answers (celebs/films/songs) which is great. Only possible improvement would be to add more crossword authors to the team to get a mix of styles. All in all, love it. Update - completed all puzzles 2021. Great app.

I have definitely improved in my solving of cryptic crosswords due to this app. I used to find them fairly hard, but do-able. Now I find them pretty easy but still a bit of a challenge. I'm ready now for something harder. However, that could be a description of a crossword book. The app itself is wonderful. No ads, never crashes, always there waiting for me wherever I left off. Easy to use, intuitive and with answers when you really need them. Marvellous!
