About this app

With Moshup you can do live datamoshing on your phone. Film something and then film something different. The first recording will be transformed by the motion of your second recording. You can create some interesting mapping effects. When holding the screen you can repeat the last frame. With the latest version you can now also import videos from your gallery. Have fun datamoshing :) This app is still in development and it can be that it won`t run properly on every phone at the moment. If thats the case please reach out and I will try to fix that the upcoming weeks if possible.

Thank you so much for letting us upload videos!!! This is a game changer. However, I would like to mention that the update has broken the overlay mode. It no longer blends the last frame with the camera. Otherwise, this is the update I've been waiting on! Thank you!! Edit: yes, when I close and restart, all works as intended. After backgrounding, it fails to work again.

Ok. Thank you for the feedback. I could find out that its happening when pushing the app into background by swiping from the left to the center. I could avoid the bug when swiping from bottom to top. Maybe that could also be a solution for the moment. I will try to fix that on the next update. Greetings Edit: I hope version 1.042 solves this issue.

Top quality. Strange color saturations/brightness at times during jumps, maybe due to lack of optimization for low lighting conditions? I also hope to see datamoshing applied to existing videos (if possible) instead of just live recording. The gallery button on the top right links to a random video in my directory and the error states "couldn't play video" using OnePlus 6. Other than that, it's a great app. I hope to see this develop over time!

Hello. Thank you for the nice feedback. In the new version (1.04) you can now import videos from your gallery and some more. Yes. Opening the gallery from the app to watch the captured videos still crashes on some phones. Its on my ToDo list for future updates. Greetings

I love messing around with this app, one issue I have is that the camera gets seemingly unfocused at times, and I would like if you could add focusing, also sometimes after I datamosh everything goes darker/brighter. Would be nice to add various camera control settings such as brightness, focus, contrast, etc. Other then that this app is amazing!
