About this app
Colonist is a free online alternative to the challenging social and strategy based board game Settlers of Catan. You take on the role of a Colonist by building settlements and expanding your territory. Colonist combines extremely simple rules with tremendously deep gameplay. Use strategy, planning, and cunning negotiation to win. You can train against bots, play with friends online, and even compete in our ranked mode for a spot on the leaderboard! We also offer a variety of fun custom maps to play on in addition to traditional expansions like Cities & Knights and Seafarers. You can even play with more than 4 friends with our 5-6 and 7-8 player expansions. In the store, you will find a wide array of custom colors and avatars that allow you to personalize your profile and show off. Pick a unique color and avatar combination to instill fear in your opponents!

love the app, don't know how i feel about the monotization of another creators intellectial property, but i being a player am part of tge problem perhaps 🤷♂️ its a messy world... great app tho and you can play w/o paying so, maybe I'm over complicating ;)

Catan! Very functional, very smooth. Good little app. I'd like it to be a little easier to press, it's easy to fat finger but that's just likely on such a game with small resource cards. I love Catan, I was using colonist.io on browser and then when I saw there was an app... Oh no! I have a 25% wr. Not great! But I cannot get enough!

Brilliant app, could not have asked for a more perfect app for my purposes. Option to play portrait mode, simple and very clear UI, faithful to the rules of the game. There are little things I would change like it's be great to have the build costs easily accessible on screen somewhere like you have in the real world game. Ability to see what a development card is without using it. Overall excellent and honed for the purpose it's needed for.
