In Sandwich Sudoku, the puzzle is presented with extra numbers outside the grid next to each row and column. These numbers indicate the SUM of cells sandwiched between the 1 and the 9 in that row/column. The logic required to solve the puzzles will appeal to anyone who enjoys normal sudoku and a bit of basic maths. Each puzzle here has been lovingly hand-crafted by Mark Goodliffe and Simon Anthony, the hosts of Cracking The Cryptic. They've even included their own hints on each puzzle to help if you get stuck. Easily the best Sudoko based game on the app store. Most innovative controls, easiest app to use, and with, in my opinion, the best options for pencil marks! Having played many of the (free) sudoku apps, this beats all of them. Would love if you guys made a single app with loads various variations on Sudoko (Sandwich, Killer, Thermomer, etc). I personally would be happy to have in app purchases per variations.

I've had a thoroughly absorbing time playing these handmade Sudoku puzzles. My one recommendation to anyone thinking of playing would be to go into the settings and turn off error highlighting. Having mistakes pointed out immediately took away some of the enjoyment for me, that is trying to work out where I've gone wrong.

Great puzzles. Some are solvable in no more than 10 minutes while others require complex thinking skills and a deep understanding of the puzzle. There are free hints to every puzzle (if needed) and the marking options are very helpful. Definitely recommend the app as well as the creator's youtube channel (cracking the cryptic).
